At the Xbox LIVE Community Games and XNA Game Studio 3.0 Launch Event last week we got a chance to show off exactly what you – the amazing creators – can do with XNA Game Studio. This idea of opening up the Xbox 360 console and giving independent game developers a real way of selling their games to the millions of Xbox LIVE members has been a dream for a long time, but now it is reality. We've stayed strong and at last we're finally on the brink of launching and all that we need now is your games.
We released XNA Game Studio 3.0 last week so if you haven't downloaded it and converted your games you should do that now! Your next step will be to submit your game to Playtest to make sure that you got all the kinks worked out of your title. Be sure to check the forums for feedback from other creators that will be helping you with the
playtest. You can also ask them for specific feedback there – see if you need to tighten up the graphics on level three, etc...
After passing through playtest you're ready to submit it to
Peer Review. This process should only take a few days and once it makes it through – BAM! You're live and ready to make money! Even now those in the closed beta for the New Xbox Experience can see and purchase your games. More importantly, your game will be part of the historic first games to debut with us on November 19!
