Welcome to Community Games on Xbox LIVE (Beta)!

On behalf of the entire XNA team, I’d like to welcome you to the new XNA Creators Club Online community!  We’re incredibly proud to be able to share our work in progress, and we eagerly anticipate your feedback.  While fully functional, the new site is still considered a Beta release since we’re not quite finished with the remodeling. You’ll find the site more responsive and easier to search, whether you are looking for more information about XNA Game Studio, joining the XNA Creators Club, downloading educational content, or engaging with other members in our forums.

Of course, the most significant and highly anticipated update to the site is the added capability to support community games submission, peer review, and distribution over Xbox LIVE Marketplace.  We announced this new service at GDC, where it was met with great excitement around the world.  Today, I am pleased to invite all our XNA Creators Club premium members to join us in a closed Beta of the new community games distribution service.  All premium members can participate in the creation, submission, and peer review roles, but consumption – or play – is limited to US only in this Beta.  We’ll be adding support for other regions in the coming months.  To learn about the service and how to take part, take a look at the tour

Finally, I’d like to assure you that we are far from complete and that this Beta is simply an early opportunity for us to share our progress with our loyal XNA Creators Club members.  Over the coming months, as we approach our targeted Holiday ’08 release, watch for more updates and detailed information about the site and the community games distribution service.  Let us know what you think.  Our community has never been shy, and your feedback has directly influenced our planning and development of XNA Game Studio as well as this site and distribution service.  So do your part and help us us ensure that this community drives success for you, the game creator!
