12/9/2009 UPDATE: An FAQ has been posted in the Dream.Build.Play forum to address a number of questions that have come up since the announcement of the Old Spice Challenge today. All creators interested in participating in the Microsoft Old Spice Challenge should read this FAQ.
The Microsoft Dream.Build.Play/Old Spice challenge is now open!!! This year we decided to kick it up a notch and bring to you a challenge like never before. We are looking for you to create a game that will not only blow our minds, but will also find innovative and creative ways to implement the Old Spice brand. Plus, $135,000.00 (USD) in prizes is on the line and there are 2 ways to compete!!!
In 2010, Old Spice is launching a collection of 4 fresh scents inspired by some of the freshest places on Earth: Matterhorn, Fiji, Denali and Cyprus. To get guys excited about these products, they need your help!
Of course the obvious question is what do you get for this? Well, other than pure satisfaction? The folks at Old Spice really wanted to make this worth your while and are offering a Grand Prize (Best Branded Game) for the Microsoft Old Spice challenge worth $60,000.00 (USD)! Submit your game to both the Microsoft Old Spice challenge and the Standard Dream.Build.Play challenge (same as previous years) and you can win both, and walk away with a cool $100,000.00 (USD)!!!
